Living commerce
The Reciprocity Book, kept in three accounts.
A venture here is not measured by money alone. Living commerce moves more than cash, so it keeps three books, and each book obeys its own law.
Every act of care, facilitation, and stewardship, witnessed and honoured. This book never balances, because it is not a book of debts. It is a book of gifts, and gifts are meant to keep moving. Its health is measured in flow: how much care circulated, through how many hands.
Every regenerative act, tied to a living stock and counted, not assumed: soil, water, canopy, habitat, health. This book does not balance either. It climbs, slowly. Each project cycle must leave the living world measurably richer than it found it, or the work is not yet done.
The classic accounting, kept in full in tradable internal credit. This is the only book that balances to zero: every credit is another member's debit, no interest, no hoarding, money that exists only to move. The credit line each member holds is trust, made countable and shared.
One law governs all three
Reciprocity. A venture is whole when the money book closes, the land book rises, and the care book flows. Extraction has a simple definition here: closing one book by draining another.
This is not idealism. Open loops of care are how communities store wealth in one another. Counted repair is how land recovers. Zero-sum credit is how neighbours trade through droughts of cash.
Value that keeps moving compounds into trust, and trust is what lets a place carry weight over time.
